Assassination is the name of the game in this classic action packed stealth video game being developed by IO Interactive and to be published by Square Enix for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
Initially scheduled to be released on December 8, 2015, HITMAN was moved to a later date, March 11, 2016 to be exact to give way for additional content into the game. Why?
Complete Video Game, HITMAN
This must be related to the fact that there will be no downloadable content (DLC), no micro-transaction once the game is released and more importantly, no season pass to which IO Interactive believed is a wrong approach because it tries to rip off players."It is fully complete at launch but it is not finished," said studio head Hannes Seifert during an interview with VideoGamer.com back at E3. Revealing what they plan to do with HITMAN, Seifert said they will "add more locations, more missions and we'll have things like targets that only appear for, say, 2 days. That's something you can only do in the live world."
He added that once HITMAN is released, it "will be completely finished, it will be a very polished experience. It's also going to be a very big game. There are other products that sell a game for $60 and then try to sell you a Season Pass for another $40 on top, so you spend $100 or $120 for all the stuff that happens later on. We said no, we don't want to do that."
"We think it's wrong to approach players like that because players want to be part of that experience but they don't necessarily want to be ripped off. What we're going to sell is all of that but it's for a one-price package," Seifert added.
What Can We Expect on HITMAN?
Describing how HITMAN will be played, "There will be hours and hours of gameplay. You will travel the world to different locations. We start with Fashionable Paris that you've seen and you'll go to the bustling market of Marrakesh and the Italian coastline and way beyond that. What we can tell people is that we will have content coming every week. There will be an event every week and people can actually engage right away."Seifert promised that, "this is a full-fledged HITMAN."
HITMAN Game director further explained, "Actually it's a bigger HITMAN game than ever before; it will be more than Absolution. Our biggest levels are way bigger than anything we had in Blood Money. The AI entities, we have about 300 of them when we used to have 40 or 50 in the previous games. So it's a very big game [that] we will keep updating. It's $60, no dollar more, no DLC or micro-transactions or stuff like that. You will buy it and you will have entertainment for a few months on top."
My Opinion
It is so great to hear this wonderful news!!! No DLC, No extra charges to play a game you own. Just a full game. With Free expansions. What do you think about this?

Seriously shows you how much other developers are making from DLC and season passes, When this developer says they do not want to rip you off by doing them. I hope this is a trend that will catch on.
ReplyDeleteI couldnt agree more. what happend to the days where you play to unlock content now payed
DeleteWhat! So awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe only season pass i have ever payed for was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. They released like 25 extra maps with it and the game itself had already included a lot of maps. I spent $50. It also had other updates and new gameplays. To this day its the only one that was worth the money.
ReplyDeleteGTA 5 has been out over a year and has still been updating its online gameplay for free.
ReplyDeleteHitman games have always been so awesome. Blood Money is my favorite though because it had some very funny moments. It gets increasingly more serious.
ReplyDeleteSave the game at the completion of this level. Now go back and play the level a 2nd time. This time do all that you can to collect as much gold along the way as possible. Immediately before escaping the level create a save point. www.freenba2k16lockercodes.com
